Roofers begin the drying-in process. A layer of Polystick TU Plus is applied to the roof before the concrete tile is installed.
The Polystick is rolled out lapping each preceding row.
Workers are hard at work installing the ridge and hip boards. Cap tiles will be fastened to these.

Stucco workers smooth out the columns. These solid concrete tapered columns are a signature component in a Scalero home.
The drywall crew begins hanging the drywall. Visible is the green residue on the lumber by the Borate treatment. Borate is a clear liquid. A green tracer is added to ensure proper coverage on all pieces of lumber.

Lath & Moisture Protection
Included in this category are roofing, stucco and drywall. The roofing and stucco, along with a good sealer and paint, create a barrier around the home to protect the inside of the home from moisture.
Almost all of the homes built by Scalero have concrete tile roofs. A secondary underlayment of Polystick TU Plus is used prior to installation of the roof tile.
Only high quality drywall and drywall products are used on Scalero homes. Only drywall screws are used to install the drywall to the studs. Not using nails greatly reduces the chance of getting "nail pops" in the drywall.
